I Kill Everything (Reissue) [IND100F]

melton This is a very singular album that really carries incredible feelings of insane deep powers rising from the deepest buried frequencies to the varied elements of compositional approach and sonic pallete, it's maintaining it's proof of independence and feels like it's own island in my collection where things fall into a place deeper and darker; powerfully taking me to a hypnomonumental place of self contemplation and asking myself if any of my records had any parallels besides experimental noise. Favorite track: As Seen on T.V..

Dan Fox’s Loss project quietly announced its debut through the self-released 3” ‘A Letter That Will Never Be Sent’ back in 2004. Those lucky enough to get the little red velvet pouch were treated to 3 of the most emotional, sombre and poetic noise tracks that had been heard on the scene and Dan was quickly scooped up by the prestigious Spectre Label (Belgium) for the full length debut album ‘I Kill Everything’ which was promoted alongside a captivating performance at Maschinenfest 2005 alongside the likes of Orphx, Architect, Klangstabil et al.

2006 saw Loss follow this up with the Ltd Ed 7” ‘You are what eats you’ and despite the odd compilation appearances on labels including Pflichtkauf, Elektroanschlang & Tympank Audio, fans of Loss would have to wait another 7 years before finally re-emerging in 2013 on the seminal Ant-Zen label with ‘I am but the sum of my conditions.’
Loss teamed up with the legendary Philipp Münch to release ‘Transcontinental Desperation’ and sophomore solo release ‘Sick’ in 2014 both through Ant-Zen.

Fans of Dan’s Loss project have also been treated to further releases ‘Burden’ 2019 on the Forever Escaping Boredom label and ‘She, Zombie’ 2017 on Dan’s own Inner Demons label.

Alongside Loss, Dan has a number of other Noise, Ambient, Drone projects including This Is What I Hear When You Talk, Fail, If, Disconsolate, and FFI Digital and has been growing his Inner Demons label which has picked up momentum since 2016 promoting a wide range of Noise, Industrial, Experimental, Drone, IDM artists with a strong emphasis on anti-fascism, equality and diversity and including a wealth of respected artists on the roster including the Law-Rah Collective, Andreas Davids, Signalstoerung, Hendekagon, RDKPL, Morbid Beauty & Cr(A)wE.

2023 will see a re-release of Loss’ debut full-length ‘I Kill Everything’ on Dan’s own Inner Demons label which will feature two exclusive remixes: One by Talvekoidik, and another by Loss that was done around the time of the original release of I Kill Everything but never released.

This was, and will forever be, a Spectre.
